Lord Henry has been murdered. His corpse has bite wounds which looks like they were inflicted by a very large animal. The villagers are terrified and believe it was done by a legendary demon hound. Meanwhile, the servants head off for the swamp in search of Angela, Lord Henry’s maid, as she hasn’t come back from picking medicinal herbs.
